How to add blog with Shopify admin

The process of adding your first blog to Shopify by using the default Shopify admin is straightforward.

1. Go into your Shopify store, and from the menu on the left-hand side of your screen select “Sales channels” and then “Online store”.
2. After that, you will see another menu under “Online store”. Select “Blog posts”, and click on the “Add blog post” button.

3. After clicking that button, you will see a new page, where you can write and further optimize your blog post:

On this page, apart from entering the title and adding the content, you can add excerpts, edit website SEO, select the visibility of your blog post, add an image, and select the section of the website you want the blog post to appear. The default section is News, but you can create and rename sections to better fit your requirements.
5. In the end, you can add tags, and select the theme template for the blog post. When you finish, just click the “Save” button in the bottom right corner of the page.

How to add a blog to navigation menu

As we saw, how to add a blog to Shopify is fairly straightforward with the default Shopify admin. However, if you add blog to Shopify, and it doesn’t appear, in the navigation menu, you should follow these steps:

1. Click on “Online store”
2. Click “Navigation”
3. In the menus section click “Main menu”
4. Select “Add menu item”
5. Click on “Search or paste a link”
6. Select “Blogs” from the drop-down menu
7. Click on the blog you want to appear in the navigation menu
8. Select “Add”
9. Click “Save menu”
