If you have a Shopify store and want to connect it to Klaviyo for email marketing, you're about to find out how.

In this simple guide, I’ll show you how to link your Shopify store with Klaviyo, so you can send targeted emails, track customer activity, and in the end increase  your sales

Why you should integrate Klaviyo with Shopify

With Klaviyo, you can send personalized product recommendations, abandoned cart reminders, and even updates from your Shopify blog to keep your audience engaged.

9 steps you need to follow

Step 1: Set up your Klaviyo account for integration

If you haven’t already, log in to your Klaviyo account. Once logged in, click on your profile in the bottom left corner of the dashboard.

Step 2: Access the integrations section

Click on Integrations from the left-hand menu, and then select Add Integration in the top right corner.

Step 3: Add the Klaviyo Shopify integration

  1. In the search bar, type “Shopify” and click on the result when it appears.
  1. Click the Add Integration button on the top right of the Shopify integration page to proceed.

Step 4: Enter your Shopify domain

You'll need to enter your myshopify.com domain to connect. 

You can find this in your Shopify admin. It’s the last part of the URL you see when logged into your Shopify account (e.g., your-shop-name.myshopify.com).

Step 5: Sync data and connect

  1. Usually the option to Sync data from Shopify is already selected. You can also choose which newsletter list you want your Shopify contacts to be added to.
  1. Click Connect to Shopify on the bottom left. You will be prompted to log into your Shopify store.

Step 6: Set up your Shopify store for integration

  1. Once logged into Shopify, click Install App to complete the integration process.
  1. After installation, confirm the Klaviyo integration to successfully connect to your Shopify store.

And voilà! Your Shopify store is now connected to Klaviyo, and you can start sending targeted emails and syncing customer data seamlessly.

Integration steps:

  1. In Bloggle, go to the Integrations tab on your dashboard.
  2. Add your Klaviyo public API key and embed the desired forms.
  3. Don’t forget to save your form once it’s set up!

How to enable on-site tracking?

The first part of the Klaviyo and Shopify integration is done, but you should also enable on-site tracking. 

On-site tracking can be used for sending abandon cart emails for people that have added items into their carts but haven’t made a purchase. 

Here’s how to enable it:

Step 1: Go back to the Klaviyo Shopify page

  1. Click on the “view your Shopify App Embed” link

Step 2: Enable Klaviyo’s onsite JavaScript

  1. Tick the Klaviyo Onsite JavaScript button
  1. Click on the “Save” button on the top right
  2. Go back to the Klaviyo dashboard and click on “Update Settings” on the bottom right

And that’s pretty much it. Klaviyo’s onsite tracking should be working properly now.
